Grasshopper Mendoza pursues her work in commercial real estate investment and development with a commitment to sustainability. Her emphasis is on retail and industrial properties.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in International Business from San Francisco State University and spent a year studying in that same field at ITESM-Tec de Monterrey Campus, Queretaro, Mexico.
She is studying to become a LEED AP and is on the USGBC Advocacy Committee. Grasshopper also serves on the Horizon Initiatives Infrastructure Committee where she co-chairs the Water Management Sub-Committee.
Steve Picou has a background in sustainability, community activism, music and real estate. He is a futurist with a broad, system-oriented perspective.

In his work at the LSU AgCenter, Steve promotes sustainable/green building, wind code compliance and energy efficiency. Steve previously served as Assistant Director of the Louisiana Music Commission for more than a decade, giving him a strong understanding of governmental processes, politics and bureaucracy.
Steve is a graduate of the University of New Orleans and a Fellow of the Loyola University of New Orleans Institute of Politics.
